The Edged Weapon Control Instructor Course will certify and prepare instructors to teach PPCT’s Edged Weapon Control System.
The Edged Weapon Control System (formerly known as the Spontaneous Knife Defense Program) is based upon the reality of an imminent Lethal Force Engagement. We adopted human factor variabilities of a narrow bandwidth and the Incapacitation Template.
The above design and technique methodology is a convergence of U.S. Army SERE, CIA and Special Operations communities from 1987 through 2010. Thus, we have included a model that has “established” past performance, but a model that also is consistent with the 2010 Human Factor, Deep Learning and macro/micro pattern recognition neural network research.
Students are responsible for lodging ($25.00 per night double occupancy) and meals.
Equipment: Required: Tactical pants (511 or BDU cargo pants are acceptable), non-marking shoes, eye protection (clear shooting or safety glasses), light weight patrol gloves, forearm pads, shin pads, water bottle or canteen for hydrations, pen and paper for notes, groin protection, mouth piece, duty belt, training gun (will be provided if you do not have one), and extra towels if you are staying at NLETC
