This is a 40-hour course with an emphasis on "at-scene" evidence recognition and collection, scene photography, diagramming and an introduction to mathematical formulas.
NLETC reserves the right to limit the number of attendees from any one agency. This is to provide equitable training throughout the state.
Students are responsible for lodging ($25.00 per night double occupancy) and meals.
Equipment: .55mm Mechanical pencil and erasers, pen, notebook, Northwestern Traffic Template, Drawing Equipment (to include a flex curve and eraser shield), Texas Instruments TI-30XA Calculator (or equivalent), 6" or larger locking compass, 100' or larger Fiberglass Tape Measure, 25' or 50' Steel Tape Measure, used/old/cheap screwdrivers, Spring Clamps, 3-5 lb. sledge hammer, Digital Camera of your department's choice with a tripod (Students who do not bring a tripod will be unable to participate in the photography section of the class.), and a minimum 1GB flash drive. Also bring extra towels if staying at NLETC.
