NLETC reserves the right to limit the number of attendees from any one agency. This is to provide equitable training thoughout the state.

The Instructor Development course has been designed to give the participant the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully desing, develop and implement training within their agency using recognized training principles. This class is applicable for all law enforcement officers who are tasked with the training function within their respective agency. It is not designed as an end user course which teaches the individual how to use specific tactics or techniques. The course utilizes adult learning principles and incorporates hands on lesson plan development and presentation skills in order to give the student the skills they need to successfully develop and present their own training programs related to the needs of the specific agency. This course meets all requirements set forth by the Nebraska Crime Commission and is recognized by the Police Standards Advisory Council of Nebraska.

  • Systematic Design, Development and Delivery of Training
  • Instructional Methodologies
  • Facilitation Skills
  • Use of Training Aids 

Students are responsible for lodging ($20.00 per night double occupancy) and meals.

Equipment: Pen/Pencil, notebook, and extra towels if you are staying at NLETC
