The Nebraska Law Enforcement Infant/Young Child Death Investigation Checklist was developed by the Nebraska Child Death Review Team to reflect the law enforcement section only of the Nebraska Attorney General’s checklist.
It is recommended that this form be used for all infant and young child death investigations in order to standardize how these investigation are done from agency to agency throughout the state.
It is also recommended that a copy of this form accompany the body to the Medical Examiner for autopsy, thus providing the Medical Examiner with valuable scene information.
