NLETC reserves the right to limit the number of attendees from any one agency. This is to provide equitable training throughout the state.

Law enforcement leaders encounter a myriad of society's most difficult and demanding challenges. Leadership is influence. Each of us has the power of influence. Becoming a leader places the need to recognize the potential in others and yourself. Accepting a new leadership role can be the most demanding position an individual can have, yet receives the least amount of training for. The sound leadership principles and skills addressed in this training will provide all levels of new, current, and future leaders with a foundation to immediately transfer these principles and skills to real-life challenges they will encounter in both their personal and professional lives.

Practical Leadership for Law Enforcement: Developing the Next Generation of Leaders is a cutting edge five day program built specifically for current or future field training officers, first line supervisors, and middle managers with the goal of enhancing their leadership competencies. Through examination of established and emerging leadership theories, students will develop and understanding of the role leaders play as visionaries, team builders and change experts.

  • Leadership Styles and Theory
